- 4 or 5 yellow squash, cut up
- 1 small onion, cut up
- salt to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. grated cheese
- 1 c. cracker crumbs
Directions

1Cook squash and onion in small amount of salted water.

2Drain and mash.

3Add egg, butter, cheese and 1/2 cup cracker crumbs. Mix well.

4Shape into balls and roll in remaining crumbs.

5Fry in deep fat until golden brown.
