Squash Mix With Ham

Ingredients

  • 3 yellow squash
  • 2 zucchini
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. minced ham
  • 1/2 tsp. dried chervil leaves
  • seasoned salt
  • 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. water or broth

Directions

    Wash, trim and slice the squash.

    Saute onions and celery in the heated butter until onions are transparent.

    Stir in squash, ham, chervil, salt, red pepper flakes and water.

    Cover and simmer about 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender, shaking pan frequently.

    Transfer to serving dish.

    Sprinkle with additional red pepper flakes, if desired.
