  • 12 fresh brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons real bacon bits
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Place brussels sprouts in a steamer basket; place in a saucepan over 1 in. of water. Bring to a boil; cover and steam for 15-20 minutes or until crisp-tender.

    Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, cook and stir the sesame seeds and garlic in oil and butter for 2-3 minutes or until sesame seeds are lightly browned. Add the bread crumbs and bacon; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until crumbs are golden brown. Add the brussels sprouts, cheese, salt and pepper.
