Ingredients

  • 8 c. squash
  • 7 or 8 onions
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 2 tsp. turmeric
  • salt

Directions

    Slice squash, onions and pepper in thin slices. Cover with salt water and soak for 15 minutes.

    Bring sugar, vinegar and spices to a rolling boil. Drain vegetables.

    After soaking, add to boiling water for 10 minutes.

    Pour into hot jars and seal.
