Ingredients
- 4 qt. sliced squash
- 8 small white onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1/2 c. salt
- 3 cloves garlic
- 5 c. sugar
- 5 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Slice squash and onions very thin.

2Shred peppers and garlic. Mix lightly and sprinkle salt over all.

3Put in large pan and cover with ice cubes.

4Let stand 3 hours.

5Drain well.

6Mix remaining ingredients together and heat in large pot.

7When hot, add vegetables and stir occasionally.

8Heat until scalded through but do not boil.

9Pack in jars while hot and seal.

10Delicious and crunchy.

11Yields 7 to 9 pints.
