- 2 tsp. alum
- 6 pt. yellow squash
- 1 1/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. dill
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
Directions

1Cut squash into 1/4 by 2-inch stripes.

2Mix 2 teaspoons alum in 1 gallon of water.

3Put in squash and let stand 2 hours. Remove and wash in cold water.

4Mix sugar, dill, vinegar, turmeric and salt.

5Bring to a boil and reduce heat.

6Put in squash and let simmer 3 minutes.

7Let stand one hour; then put in cans and seal.
