- 12 c. grated yellow squash
- 4 c. chopped onions
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 2 red peppers, chopped, or pimentos
- 3 hot peppers, chopped
- 5 Tbsp. salt
- 5 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. pickling spices, tied in cloth
- 2 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. turmeric
Directions

1Combine first 6 ingredients and let stand overnight in refrigerator.

2Rinse in cold water 4 or 5 times.

3Combine the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.

4Add the squash mixture and return to a boil.

5Pour mixture into hot sterilized jars and seal.
