- 2 dressed squirrels
- salt and pepper
- flour
- 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. okra
- 1 qt. canned tomatoes
- 1 can whole kernel corn
Directions

1Cut the squirrels into serving size pieces and roll them in salt and peppered flour.

2Brown them in cooking oil in a large stew pot.

3Slowly add about 1 quart of water.

4Add the bay leaf, garlic and vegetables.

5Cook slowly for about 2 hours, until carrots and meat are tender.

6Add water as needed during the cooking.

7Salt and pepper to taste.
