- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce with mushrooms
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
- 3 drops bottled hot pepper sauce
- 2 c. uncooked packaged precooked rice
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
- 4 oz. sharp process American cheese, shredded (1 c.)
- sliced pimiento-stuffed green olives
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
Directions

1In skillet, brown meat with onion; drain off fat.

2Add tomato sauce, next 3 ingredients, water and salt and pepper.

3Bring to boiling, stirring often.

4Cook rice and prepare peas following package directions.

5On individual serving plates, layer rice, peas, meat mixture, then cheese.

6Trim with olives.
