- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 2/3 to 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Sift flour with salt and baking powder.

2Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Add milk and mix just until dough follows fork around bowl.

4Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead gently 2 minutes.

5Roll or pat 1/2-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.

6Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450°.

7Cook 10 minutes.
