  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 8 ounces steaks
  • 1/3 cup pesto store-bought
  • 2 medium tomatoes each cut into 8 slices
  • 1/2 pound mozzarella cut into 16 slices
  • fresh basil for garnish
  • ciabatta sliced, to serve

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over high heat, season steaks then sear for 4 mins, turning. Brush steaks with pesto, top each with 2 slices tomato and 2 slices mozzarella. Roast for 5 mins. Garnish with basil and serve with ciabatta.
