  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 qt. water
  • 1 c. onion
  • 2 c. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 lb. coarsely ground round steak
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 large can chopped tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Melt butter in Dutch oven. Add flour and mix into a roux. Carefully add water and bring to a boil to thicken.
