- 1 (1 1/2 or 2 1/2 lb.) can beef stew
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. green onions
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Empty stew into 2-quart baking dish. In mixing bowl, beat egg.

3Add oil, milk and corn meal.

4Mix thoroughly.

5Stir in cheese, green onions and pepper.

6Pour batter over stew.
