- 3 c. milk
- 1/3 c. long-grained rice
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Directions

1In a heavy medium saucepan, bring milk to a boil; stir in uncooked rice and raisins. Cover.

2Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes or until most of the milk is absorbed.

3Mixture may appear curdled.

4Stir in sugar and vanilla. Spoon into dishes and sprinkle with nutmeg.

5Makes 5 or 6 servings.
