Ingredients
- 7 c. flour
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine 3 cups flour and yeast.

2Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt until warm (115° to 120°).

3Stir constantly until shortening almost melts.

4Add this to dry mixture.

5Add eggs. Beat at low speed with electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl.

6Beat 3 minutes at high speed.

7Stir in by hand the remaining flour to make soft dough.

8Shape into ball; place in lightly greased bowl.

9Turn once to grease surface.

10Cover; let rest in a warm place until it doubles (1 1/2 to 2 hours).

11Punch down; turn out on floured surface.
-
12Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Shape into desired rolls.

13Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled (30 to 45 minutes).

14Bake on greased muffin pans in a 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
