Strawberry Cake

  • 1 c. strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 2 whole eggs

Directions

    If strawberries are fresh, wash, cap, slice and sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar.

    Let berries stand for about 2 hours, then drain. If using frozen berries, thaw.

    Mix in mixing bowl and add strawberries, jello mixture, salad oil and eggs.

    Blend on low speed of mixer, then beat on high speed for 4 minutes.

    Bake in two 8-inch round pans.

    When cool, frost.
