  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sifted cake flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • powdered sugar
  • 1 c. whipping cream, whipped and sweetened
  • 2 c. strawberries, sliced and sweetened
  • 1 pt. coffee ice cream
  • 1 c. dairy sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp. coffee liqueur
  • 2 c. sliced, fresh strawberries (about 3 c. whole berries)
  • 4 to 6 tsp. sugar or to taste

    In a medium bowl, stir ice cream

    with a spoon to soften. Stir in sour cream or yogurt and 2 tablespoons of the liqueur. Cover and return to freezer for 4 to 5 hours or until firm.
