Strawberry Pie

   Mix the sugar, water, Karo, cornstarch and salt and cook over medium heat until it begins to thicken.

   Remove from heat and add jello.

   Let cool to lukewarm.

   Fill cooked pie shell 3/4 full of strawberries.

   Pour mixture over this.

   Top with Cool Whip and refrigerate.
