  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 quart strawberry
  • 34 cup sugar
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cooked and cooled 9-inch pie shell

    Crush 1 cup strawberries in saucepan, add water and boil, then simmer for 3 min

    Strain the juice from the berries and add water if needed to make 1 cup

    Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt and slowly add to juice

    Boil and stir constantly until clear and thick, cool slightly

    Arrange remaining berries in shell and pour mixture over

    Cool in fridge before serving.
