  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
  • drop of red food coloring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 qt. strawberries
  • Cool Whip
  • 1 (9-inch) pastry shell

Directions

    Mix cornstarch and sugar, then add water and syrup.

    Cook until thick and clear.

    While hot, add Jell-O, food coloring and vanilla; cool.

    Wash strawberries and slice.

    Add to cooled ingredients and pour into pie shell.

    Top with Cool Whip and refrigerate.
