Ingredients

  • 1 loaf unsliced Vienna bread
  • 8 oz. Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 small cans mushroom pieces

Directions

    Cut bread diagonally one way, then turn and cut diagonally the other way.

    Place on enough heavy foil to cover completely.

    Melt butter, poppy seed, salt, mustard, garlic salt and onion.

    Stuff cheese and mushrooms into slits.

    Drizzle butter mixture over top. Wrap in foil.

    Bake 1/2 hour at 350°.

    A little longer won't hurt.

    Great appetizer or side dish!

    Can be frozen and baked when needed.
