Stuffed Cabbage

- 10 to 12 cabbage leaves
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 3/4 c. uncooked rice
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 can tomato sauce or 1 qt. stewed tomatoes
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Bring water to a boil.

2Core cabbage and steam in hot water for 5 minutes, or until leaves come off easily.

3Combine all other ingredients with rice.

4Place about 1/4 cup of mixture on each cabbage leaf.

5Roll up leaf; turn edges under.

6Secure by rolling as tightly as possible.

7Cover with reserved liquid from cabbage and tomatoes.

8Cook in saucepan for about 45 minutes, until rice and beef are done.
