Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

  • 8 large cabbage leaves
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1/4 c. cooked onion
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 can tomato soup

Directions

    Cook cabbage leaves in boiling salt water a few minutes to soften; drain.

    Combine beef, rice, onion, egg, salt and pepper with 2 tablespoons of tomato soup.

    Divide meat mixture among the cabbage leaves, roll and secure with toothpicks.

    Place cabbage rolls in baking dish.

    Baste with remaining soup.

    Cover and bake, spooning sauce over rolls occasionally.

    Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
