- 2 lb. squid
- 1 small onion
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 to 1 1/2 qt. tomato sauce
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 oz. bread crumbs
- fresh parsley
- oregano
Directions

1Slowly heat tomato sauce.

2Meanwhile, in medium-size bowl, soak bread crumbs and drop of water to dampen.

3Set aside.

4Clean squid bodies and legs thoroughly.

5Soak in cold water until ready to use. Finely chop onion and garlic; saute in olive oil.

6When onions are soft, mix the mixture into bread crumbs; add parsley, oregano, salt and pepper.

7Loosely stuff squid bodies with mixture.

8Close open end with toothpick.

9Raise temperature of sauce and add squid. Cook, covered, for 10 minutes.

10Serve over spaghetti.
