- 1 large unsliced loaf French or Italian bread
- 1/2 stick softened margarine
- 2 c. grated Jarlsberg or Gruyere cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. capers
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Slice bread lengthwise three-quarters of the way through the middle.

3Scoop out the soft part of the bread and reserve for another use.

4Combine remaining ingredients and blend well. Stuff into hollowed bread.

5Wrap in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.

6Cut into 1 to 1 1/2-inch slices and serve.

7Garnish with soups or salads.
