  • 6 tart medium apples
  • 3/4 c. medium cinnamon candies
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/3 c. chopped dates
  • 1 (9 oz.) can pineapple, crushed and drained
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped nuts

    Cook candies in water until dissolved. Add apples and cook slowly, uncovered, until just tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
