Stuffed French Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 c. cubed turkey meat
  • 2 c. grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. drained and sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 Tbsp. onion salt

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Slice French bread in half lengthwise; core out bread, making 2 nice shells and set shells aside.

    Tear cored out bread into small pieces and place in a large bowl.

    Add all remaining ingredients.

    Mix well and stuff back into the two shells.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet, stuffing side up.

    Bake about 45 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

    Cut into slices and serve.
