Stuffed Manicotti

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 links Italian sausage
  • 3 pods garlic
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • fresh or dried basil
  • 1 c. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Romano cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 lb. box manicotti
  • Italian red gravy (I use my own homemade Italian gravy but you can use Ragu red sauce in a jar)

    Chop all seasoning.

    Remove sausage from casing and combine with beef.

    Brown well in skillet.

    Add chopped seasoning.

    Saute. Remove from heat.

    Add Romano cheese.

    Let cool.

    Cook manicotti according to directions.

    Add 3 raw eggs to the cooked meat.

    Add Italian breadcrumbs.

    Mix, then stuff manicotti.

    Arrange in a baking dish.

    Add your favorite Italian red gravy.

    Sprinkle with Romano cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
