  • 1 pound Sage Sausage
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 12 whole Stuffer Mushrooms
  • 1 block Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter

Directions

    Brown the sausage with the chopped onion.

    Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

    Meanwhile, scoop out and clean the mushrooms.

    Once the sausage is browned, add the cream cheese.

    Heat until soft and stir together.

    Fill each mushroom with the sausage mixture.

    Sprinkle each mushroom with mozzarella cheese.

    Spoon bread crumbs on top.

    Finally, drizzle melted butter on top of the bread crumbs.

    Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

    If you want to crisp the top, put them under the broiler for about 5 minutes.
