  • 6 medium green peppers, tops cut off and seeds and membrane removed
  • salt
  • 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 c. uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz. sharp American cheese, shredded

Directions

    Boil prepared peppers in salted water about 5 minutes; drain. (For crisp peppers, omit the precooking.)

    Sprinkle inside of pepper cups with salt.
