  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 6 bell peppers
  • 3 c. cooked rice
  • pepper
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • chopped onion
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 10 1/2 oz. beef consomme
  • 1 egg
  • garlic bread

Directions

    Clean peppers, removing inner membranes and seeds.

    Parboil peppers for 5 minutes.

    In large bowl, combine meat, seasonings, chopped onion, rice and egg.

    In saucepan, mix tomato sauce and consomme; heat.

    Add one cup sauce mix to meat and rice mixture. Stuff the peppers.

    Use remaining sauce mix to pour over stuffed peppers.

    Bake at 350° in uncovered (oiled dish) for 60 minutes. Serve with garlic bread.
