  • 6 large peppers
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. chili sauce
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Clean peppers and place in boiling water for 3 minutes; drain. Brown ground beef and saute onion and garlic in oil.

    Drain off fat.

    Mix meat, onion, garlic, spices and beaten eggs to rice. Add half of the chili sauce to this mixture.

    Stiff peppers and spoon chili sauce over peppers and sprinkle each pepper with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.

    You can pour tomato sauce, tomato soup or tomatoes (of your choice) around peppers and bake in preheated 350° oven for about 50 or 60 minutes or until done.
