  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 4 medium green or red or yellow filling peppers
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (12 1/2 oz.) can Italian style tomatoes

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Cut bell peppers lengthwise in half. Remove seeds.

    In medium bowl, combine all ingredients.

    Stuff peppers; cover with foil.

    Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until beef mixture is no longer pink inside.
