- 6 green peppers
- 2 c. chopped chicken or veal
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. buttered crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk or cream
- onion juice
Directions

1Cut top from the peppers; remove carefully all the seeds and tongue.

2Cut thin slices from the bottoms so the peppers will stand.

3Melt the butter, add the flour and seasoning, then the milk and onion juice; add the meat and fill the peppers with the mixture.

4Cover with crumbs made by stirring 2/3 cup bread crumbs into 2/3 tablespoon of melted butter.

5Place the peppers in a baking pan and cover the bottom with boiling water.

6Bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes.
