- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. uncooked rice
- 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
- 1/2 c. Heinz barbecue sauce
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 6 medium size green peppers
- 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Slice stem ends from green peppers; scoop out seeds.

2Blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes; drain.

3Combine ground beef, egg, salt, rice, 57 sauce, half of the barbecue sauce and onion.

4Fill peppers; place in saucepan.

5Combine remaining barbecue sauce, tomato juice and sugar; pour over peppers.

6Bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, for 40 to 60 minutes.

7Baste occasionally. Serves 6.
