Stuffed Peppers And Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground hamburger
  • 3/4 c. raw rice, washed
  • some parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Chop parsley and onion and scoop out tomatoes and chop some of the insides of it and add some gravy left over from a roast or use BV gravy.

    Add the hamburger and washed rice and have pepper seeds scooped out.

    Salt the insides of the tomatoes and peppers and fill in with the meat mixture, put tops of peppers and tomatoes back on it.

    Put in baking pan in oven with boiling water or beef stock and some tomato juice.

    Cover over with another pan and bake until tender.

    Baste the tops of the peppers and tomatoes once in awhile so the rice will be cooked on the top.

    Usually takes 1 hour or more.
