Stuffed Pork Chops

Ingredients
- 2 (2-inch) pork chops
- 2 slices rye bread
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 apple (Granny Smith will make it slightly tart)
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. raisins
- 2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 Tbsp. brandy (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Split chops in half, making a pocket. Cut bread into cubes.

3Thinly sliced apple (peel and all).

4Heat saute pan.

5Add butter, bread and apples; stir.

6When the bread is slightly browned, add raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar.

7Toss all ingredients.
-
8Slowly add brandy.
-
9Let reduce.
-
10Spoon mixture into chops.
-
11Bake on rack for one hour.

12Yields 2.
