- small squash
- onions
- Cheddar cheese
- corn bread crumbs
- butter
- salt and pepper

1Trim stem end on squash.

2Boil until almost done.

3While boiling, saute onions in butter.

4Crumble corn bread crumbs in onions.

5Add salt and pepper to taste.

6Drain squash; cool slightly.

7Cut in half.

8Scoop out centers.

9Mix squash centers with corn bread mixture.

10Place squash halves in pan.

11Place thin slice of Cheddar cheese in squash boat; add corn bread mixture. Brown in oven at 375°.

12Remove, add another slice of cheese on top and broil until cheese melts.
