- 6 unpeeled tomatoes
- 1/2 c. crumbled crisp bacon bits
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
Directions

1Cut a slice from top of each tomato.

2Scoop out centers; mix pulp with bacon bits, celery, onion, bread crumbs, salt and 1/2 of grated cheese.

3Fill centers with this mixture; sprinkle with the rest of the grated cheese.

4Dot with butter; bake in greased muffin cups or baking dish for about 30 minutes in a 350° oven. Serves 6.
