  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Mix margarine, shortening, eggs and sugar; beat well.

    Add the rest of ingredients.

    I roll these and use a cookie cutter, but you can roll them in a ball and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
