- 2/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 4 tsp. milk
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Thoroughly cream the shortening, sugar and vanilla.

3Add egg and milk.

4Beat until light and fluffy. Sift together the dry ingredients.

5Blend into creamed mixture. Divide dough in half.

6Cover and chill 1 hour.

7On lightly floured surface, roll 1/8 inch thick.

8Bake on ungreased sheet 8 to 10 minutes.
