  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Mix margarine, sugar and confectioners sugar in a large mixing bowl.

    Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.

    Combine flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar and mix well.

    Add to sugar mixture; mix well. Shape by teaspoon into balls, roll in sugar and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 250° for 6 to 8 minutes.

    (Dough may be stored in refrigerator if desired for a few days.)
