- 6 large cooking apples
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. soft margarine
- 3/4 c. orange juice
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten
- whipped cream
Directions

1Peel and core apples.

2Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon; cut margarine into flour mixture with 2 knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

3Brush apples with egg and roll in flour mixture.

4Place in greased baking dish.

5Fill cavities of apples with any remaining flour mixture.

6Pour orange juice in bottom of dish around apples.

7Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until apples are tender.

8Serve warm with pan liquids and whipped cream.
