  • 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 10 ounces (2 1/2 sticks) soft butter or (half butter/half shortening)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 5 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs and continue to cream.

    Add salt and vanilla.

    Add flour all at once and blend just until flour has dissolved.

    Refrigerate until ready to use.

    This dough must be used CHILLED.
