  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

    cream together butter and sugar in large bowl

    add egg mix well

    mix dry ingredients together with butter mixture

    add cocoa mix well

    gradually add milk

    roll on floured surface to 1/8 inch thick

    cut with cookie cutter

    bake at 350F for 15 minutes

    for ease in rolling and removing cut outs, chill dough for an hour.
