- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 c. walnuts or mixed nuts
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine both sugars and sour cream in a medium saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.

3Continue cooking without stirring to 238° on candy thermometer or until a little cold water forms a soft ball.

4Remove from heat.

5Add vanilla and nuts.

6Stir gently until all nuts are coated.

7Turn out onto waxed paper.

8Separate with a fork; let dry.

9Makes about 1 pound.
