- 1 lb. pecans and walnuts
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
Directions

1Melt butter (do not brown it) in 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Add dash of salt to egg whites and beat until soft mounds form.

3Gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff mounds form.

4Fold nuts into mixture.

5Spread nut mixture over butter.

6Stir well every 10 minutes for 30 minutes or until brown and all butter is absorbed. Put in oven at 350° and bake for 30 minutes.

7Stir in large bowl.
