Ingredients

  • 2 yellow apples, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. artificial sweetener
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. raisins, cut up
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. maple
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda

    Combine first seven ingredients; boil 3 minutes and cool.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
