- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 c. flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Directions

1Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until stiff. Slowly add sugar and flour.

2Add vanilla.

3Pour into angel cake pan.

4Beat hot water, egg yolks, sugar, and salt for 3 minutes or until lemon yellow.

5Add flour mixed with baking powder and beat well.

6Add lemon flavoring.

7Pour into pan on top of white mixture.

8Bake in a very slow oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
