  • 12 eggs, separated
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Beat egg yolks. Add vanilla and 1/2 of the sugar. Beat egg whites until frothy. Add cream of tartar. Beat until stiff. Fold egg mixture into whites. Fold flour, salt and remaining sugar into mixture. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes in tube pan.
